Bait purse seine information:
I hope the images don't take too long to load for you. You should be able to print them using the print button on your browser once they are opened. There are three types of bait fish that the purse seiners report on the west coast of Florida; scad (cigar minnows), Spanish sardines, and Atlantic herring (which probably also includes the scaled sardines they catch). I searches throughout NMFS' data base for any other baits that they catch in our area, but none others are reported. Click on the bait names below to open the images.
